The Big Zero Show 2023: Edina showcase system integrated Battery Energy Storage, hydrogen-ready Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plants, and hybrid power solutions - co-locating on-site generation, storage, and renewable technologies.
Edina is exhibiting at the Big Zero Show 2023 at show stand B10.
The one-day event, taking place on the 20th of June at the Coventry Building Society Arena, UK, will allow delegates to understand the benefits of an Edina battery energy storage, hydrogen-ready Combined Heat and Power (CHP), or hybrid power solution to further customer sustainability and energy transition pledges.
Combined Heat and Power (CHP) is a well-established technology that simultaneously generates electricity and heat from a fuel input close to the point of use. Industrial and commercial users of CHP have typically reported 30% savings on their primary energy costs when compared to the separate purchase of electricity from the electricity grid and gas for use in on-site boilers.
MWM gas engines powered CHP plants can operate using existing low-carbon natural gas and biogas and can operate using hydrogen blends once injected into the existing gas network. A recent report published by the Energy Networks Association details the potential to blend hydrogen into the existing gas network, replacing up to 20% by volume of the natural gas in the system.
Edina is a system integrator for tier 1 battery technology and inverter systems which are scalable and deliver guaranteed performance.
Our modular outdoor battery energy storage solution is fully integrated and prefabricated with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cell chemistry, liquid-cooled thermal management system, skid-mounted inverter systems, battery management system and UL certified fire detection and suppression systems.
From the UK and Ireland, we can provide the full engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) scope of works to included detailed design, engineering, project management and installation, commissioning, and long-term asset-care support, from a single point of contact.
The co-location of battery energy storage alongside solar PV and low carbon and hydrogen-ready gas engines can offer industrial businesses protection against rising energy costs whilst improving resilience and reducing carbon emissions at site. For many large energy users, gas-fired Combined Heat and Power (CHP) is a means to manage spiralling energy costs and can form part of a wider sustainable strategy.
The Big Zero Show, organised by Future Net Zero, in partnership with Coventry City Council, is a free to attend event and is expected to attract more than 1,500 delegates alongside 50 exhibitors as businesses heighten their focus on sustainability initiatives.
Representatives from a range of major companies, public sector organisations and SMEs – with a major presence from businesses across the West Midlands – will hear from experts and influencers in the energy and sustainability sector, with Juliet Davenport, president of the Energy Institute, already confirmed.
The event will feature 40 sessions led by industry experts and 10 Big Zero lectures, covering topics such as policy, technology, business strategy and finance.
