Edina, a leading supplier, installer and maintenance provider for combined heat and power (CHP), gas and diesel power generations solutions, attended the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise 2018 Winners reception at Buckingham Palace.
The palace reception, which took place on Thursday 28th June 2018 and hosted by The Prince of Wales and The Duke of Kent, was attended by over 200 winners across the UK and recognised significant contributions made within international trade, innovation, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility.
Edina’s Director of Commercial and Business Development, Neelima Jain, attended the palace reception in honour of the company’s second Queen’s Awards and commented; “We are truly honoured to receive this prestigious award in recognition of our combined heat and power solution and innovations made to our service and maintenance remote monitoring systems. Edina won its first Queen’s Awards for Innovation back in 2014, and this award, also within the Innovation category, marks another impressive milestone for Edina in delivering leading edge power generation solutions.”
The award marks Edina’s second Queen’s Awards for Enterprise within four years and is the first company within its operating sector to do so.
Her Majesty The Queen; commented; “Having watched the Awards established in my name grow in stature and influence, I continue to be impressed by the way that they have given opportunity to big organisations and small, enabling them to project themselves on the world stage.”
In late September, the Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester will visit Edina’s Manchester office to present the ceremonial scroll and bowl in recognition of the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, Innovation Award 2018.
