Edina has been shortlisted for two industry awards at the upcoming ‘Made in Northern Ireland’ awards.
The two categories include, ‘Manufacturing Innovation Award’ and ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ and reflect the outstanding contributions made within the region and in the power generation industry at Edina’s office and manufacturing facility based in Lisburn.
Now in their fifth year, the awards recognise and reward the excellence of the manufacturing sector in Northern Ireland and showcase the successful achievements of innovative and forward-thinking businesses across the region.
The winners of these prestigious awards will be announced at a special lunch ceremony at The Titanic Hotel, Belfast on 11 May 2018.
All of the winners will be automatically entered into Insider’s national manufacturing final, the Made in the UK Awards, which takes place in Liverpool on 20 June 2018.
Philip Cunliffe, Insider’s regional business editor who chaired the independent panel of judges which determined the shortlists, said: “There was a significant increase not only in the number of entry submissions we received but also in the quality of those submissions. This year’s shortlists include many of Northern Ireland’s most successful growth businesses which we’re extremely excited to be showcasing at the awards ceremony.”
